Join the Boise Family

All of the members of the Boise Internal Medicine Residency Program stand together on the steps of a brick building

One of our many strengths is the camaraderie that our residents share. We are a tight-knit group who enjoy working together, and playing together!

We are known for academic rigor and success in outpatient primary care and hospital medicine with a high priority placed on autonomy.

We have also trained physicians for competitive fellowship programs in various specialties.

This unique combination is made possible by talented local faculty, a nationally recognized VA hospital, two community hospital regional referral centers, a network of hand-picked community and rural training opportunities, and a strong relationship with the University of Washington.

Mission

At UW Boise Internal Medicine, our mission is to grow a community of curious, compassionate, and versatile physicians who serve, lead, and teach in Idaho and the Northwest.

Sites

Residents train at the Boise VA, St. Luke’s, Saint Alphonsus, UW hospitals in Seattle, and community practices throughout Idaho.

Our Residents

85% of our graduates stay in internal medicine. More than 60% stay in Idaho to practice and 15% practice in neighboring states.
