Overview
The preliminary year is designed for interns seeking one year of broad clinical experience prior to training in another discipline.
The year is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education and is an integral part of the Boise Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Preliminary interns rotate at the Boise VA Medical Center, St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, and clinical practices throughout the Boise area.
The preliminary year offers exposure to a broad array of patients and practice settings.
